As a Merchandise Planner for HUGO BOSS, you'll play a critical role in driving sales and profitability by supporting merchandise strategies across our E-Commerce business. With strong analytical skills and passion for retail merchandise, you will work cross functionally to ensure merchandise plans align with business objectives. What you can expect:

HBAU.com continues to be the number one performing global site and given this, a local team set up will be newly appointed in Melbourne, Australia. We are looking for an apparel planner to join our planning team based in our Melbourne regional support office. Reporting into the Regional Head of Planning SEAPAC, you will manage the E-Commerce businesses across the region.

  • Collaborate with the Head of Buying, Buyers and In-Season Specialists across the SEAPAC region to develop and implement a category strategy to drive sales and maximise profit
  • Establish category budgets and KPIs including net sales, mark-downs, sell through, stock turn, margin contribution, profitability, option plans and unit forecasts for online.
  • Monitor weekly, monthly and quarterly sales and stock levels reporting any concerns to the wider team whilst identifying new opportunities
  • Highlight changing market conditions and mitigate risk by identifying problem areas
  • Manage reporting and provide merchandise performance analysis
  • Deliver accurate information on a timely basis on which buyers can base decisions
  • Prepare and contribute to end of seasonal reviews
  • Provide guidelines to support allocation teams with maintaining correct min max levels for all core range, replenishment and markdowns
  • Ensure availability of key volume lines by monitoring style sales and stock levels
  • Contribute to the weekly meetings by providing analysis and recommendations to achieve sales, gross profit and stock targets
  • Support and contribute towards the development of the range plan


Your profile:

  • Successfully completed studies in Business or Fashion(desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced Planning & Merchandising role
  • Strong commercial skills with an understanding of the Online Business
  • Strong analytical skills and solution-orientated thinking
  • Proficient level user with MS Excel (intermediate/advanced)
  • SAP and Google Analytics experience (desirable)
  • Experience in international markets would be highly regarded
