In April 2003, Pharrell Williams, the 10-time Grammy Winning producer, singer and fashion designer met with iconic streetwear mogul NIGO who lent him his studio for a recording session and directly bonded over music.

After discussing the concept for a new brand, the duo met with globally renowned graphic designer SK8THING at a club, where he showed them three logos that he had just conceived. An idea was born, Williams and NIGO using the drawings as the now-iconic logo to launch their fashion brand Billionaire Boys Club.

2 years after, they decided to launch ICECREAM. Initially conceived as a sneaker collection to compliment Billionaire Boys Club, it quickly became a stand alone brand with apparels and accessories collection fuelled by SK8THING’s design. With the sneakers originally made for skaters, the fits were quickly adopted by that community which Pharrell’s had always been part of growing up.

The word BBC/ICECREAM has been synonymous as a single entity, but the two can exists as single entities globally recognised whose blend of street-wear and luxury has influenced countless pockets of fashion, music, design and culture.

As Billionaire Boys Club has morphed to continually lead and define fashion, its aspirational motto highlights a brand perpetually focused more on an embrace of originality and self than the direct financial realities of its name.
