Davika Hoorne, better known as Mai, is a Thai-Belgian actress, model and singer. A household name in Thailand, Mai has steadily built an international presence as an ambassador and runway model and was named Gucci’s first global brand ambassador from Thailand in 2022. In November of the same year, she became a House Friend for Bulgari in the South Asia Pacific region.
Her breakout film role came in 2015 with "Heart Attack," where she played a doctor whose patient, Sunny Suwanmethanon, falls in love with her. Mai’s work in the movie garnered accolades including Best Actress at the Bangkok Critics Assembly Awards, Thai Film Director Awards and the 25th Subannahongsa Awards. Other notable works include "Suddenly Twenty," "My Ambulance," and "Pee Mak,” Thailand’s highest grossing film of all time. In 2023, she clinched the Best Global Teleplay Leading Actress at the 36th Global Arts and Television Huading Awards.
In 2017, she graced the runway for Michael Kors during New York Fashion Week. Vogue dubbed her Milan Fashion Week’s “most compelling newcomer” in 2018, both for her appearance in Dolce & Gabbana’s show and her many street style looks, which she expertly catalogued for her millions of Instagram followers.
