Chloë Sevigny
Actor
The actor has captured fashion audiences with her youthful and quirky sartorial choices and design stints for Opening Ceremony.

The sister of artist Paul Sevigny, cites her parents as guiding forces that pushed her into the world of fashion and art, starting with her childhood love for costumes. At age 17, Sevigny was spotted by the Sassy Magazine editor, who was so impressed with her style, he offered her an internship alongside her modelling gig. In 2003, she partnered with her friend Tara Subkoff, taking creative direction on her “Imitation of Christ” collection. She began designing collections in collaboration with Opening Ceremony in 2008, carried by retailers Barneys in New York and Colette in Paris, as well as Opening Ceremony boutiques in Manhattan and Los Angeles. Her designs have been donned by the likes of Rihanna and Victoria Bekham.
Sevigny’s plentiful indie film career and reputation as the poster child for ‘90s nihilism began when she met the then aspiring screenwriter, Harmony Korine in 1993. He cast her for his controversial 1995 independent movie, Kids. While filming, Sevigny was put on the fashion radar by the American author Jay McInerney, who wrote a seven-page article, observing the young actress around New York City at the time. In the 1994 article, he dubbed her the new It-girl of the New York party scene. Decades later, Sevigny has modelled for Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu and was one of the ambassadors and faces of Chloé’s Chloé fragrance from 2007 to 2010. She has appeared on the cover of Purple, Dazed Korea, Out,Harper’s Bazaar Russia, Elle UK, L’Officiel, L’Uomo and the 20th Anniversary edition of Dazed & Confused. The actress was announced in January 2008 as UK Elle’s style advisor, and her column ‘Ask Chloe’ was launched in March 2008, and ran until November 2008.
In 2014, Sevigny served as a judge of the fashion jury during the 29th rendition of the International Festival of Fashion and Photography. In 2018, she partnered with the beauty brand La Bouche Rouge to produce her own lipstick named “Le Rouge Chloe”.
