She has followed in her father’s footsteps as a Bollywood actor, become a face for L’Oréal and emerged as India’s most fashionable star.

Sonam K Ahuja is an Indian actress and the daughter of the globally recognised actor and producer Anil Kapoor. Ahuja gained recognition as a successful actress for her roles in “Raanjhanaa” and “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag,” which earned her various best actress nominations. Since then she has featured in box-office hits “Khoobsurat,” “Dolly Ki Doli” and “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.”
The 2016 film “Neerja” earned Ahuja the most critically acclaimed role of her film career. “Neerja” became one of the most commercially successful films of all time, with a woman as protagonist, and earned Ahuja a special mention at the Nation Awards.
Ahuja is a longstanding ambassador for the cosmetics brand L’Oréal and has represented India at during the Cannes Film Festival for several years. In 2017, Ahuja and her sister Rhea launched the high-street fashion brand Rheson, known for its affordable prices without compromising on quality and design. The line is currently stocked in multi-brand stores across India and is available online, with plans for expansion into the UK and US in 2019.
Ahuja is a great supporter of charitable organisations. Her philanthropy work supports women’s rights, LGBT rights and breast cancer awareness. Ahuja has a large audience of over 20 million followers on Instagram alone. She married businessman Anand Ahuja on May 8 2018 with a grand ceremony in Mumbai.
